  • Disconnect any cables and accessories plugged into the computer.

  1. Hold the Power Button for 5 Seconds:

  • This discharges any residual electricity in the system.

  1. Open the Case:

  • Consult your computer’s owner’s manual for specific instructions on opening your system.

  • Take pictures as you work to document cable and screw placements.

  1. Ground Yourself:

  • Touch an unpainted metal surface to prevent static damage during installation.

  1. Remove Existing Memory Modules:

  • Press down on the clips on the sides of each module to release it.

  • Pull out the old RAM module gently.

  1. Install the New RAM:

  • Hold the new module along the edges.

  • Align the notches on the module with the ridges in the slot.

  • Apply even pressure and firmly press the module in until it snaps into place.

  • If your desktop requires matched pairs (memory banks), follow the labeled slots for installation.

  1. Close the Computer Case.

  2. Plug in the Power Cable.

Your new RAM is now installed! Boot up your computer and enjoy improved performance. Remember to consult your specific system’s manual for any unique instructions.
